Links and subtasks
Tasks can be linked to each other to reflect dependencies and hierarchy. Links are shown on the Related tasks tab of the task panel, and events about them appear in the task history.
Link types
| Link type | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Related | Tasks are linked without hierarchy or blocking. |
| Parent | The current task is the parent of the linked one. |
| Child | The current task is a child of the linked one. A subtask is created as a child link. |
| Blocking | The current task blocks the linked one. |
| Blocked | The current task is blocked by the linked one. |
Links are mirrored: if you create a "Blocking" link from task A to task B, then in task B it appears as "Blocked". The same applies to the Parent / Child pair. The "Related" type is symmetric.

Creating a related task
- On the task card (board) or row (table) open the context menu via ….
- Select Add related — the Create related task panel opens.
- The Related to block shows the source task the link will be established with.
- In the Link type block select the type: Related (default), Parent, Child, Blocking or Blocked.
- Fill in the other fields and click Save.
The new task is created with the New status. If the link is not cancelled, the source and new task become visible to each other on the "Related tasks" tab.
Creating a subtask
A subtask is a child link. To create a subtask for the current task:
- Open the current (parent) task's menu … → Add related.
- In the Link type block select Child.
- Fill in the subtask fields and click Save.

Cancelling the link
If the link is not needed, click the reset button in the Related to block. The Related to and Link type blocks are hidden, the panel title changes to Create task, and the filled fields are kept. The task is created without a link.
You cannot link a task to itself or add a duplicate link. If the task was created but the link could not be established, the task is not deleted — the link can be added again.
Link history
Adding, changing the type of and deleting a link are recorded in the history of both tasks (History tab). The link type in a record is shown relative to the task in whose history it appears. The linked task name in a record is clickable. The history filter has a dedicated Link events item.
